Frescina Spa Resort offers you a truly Italian holiday! The resort is situated in the lesser known Marche region, right next to Umbria and Toscana and is surprisingly easy to reach thanks to the low cost flights from several UK airports and Dublin to Bologna, Rimini and Ancona. The resort has both hotel and residential accommodation. Reception, bar and restaurant are in the main building whereas the apartments, all of recent construction and with views onto the surrounding mountains, are in bungalows near the fresh water pool. The resort is now open ALL year round, and extra to the existing health club there is the new enormous covered pool extending over 600 sq metres and the indoor Kneipp course. The resort restaurant serves wonderful freshly cooked meals and on request can also produce some simple gluten free dishes.
Frescina Spa Resort is in the Marche region between the Apennines and the Adriatic sea, away from the normal tourist areas but still near enough to famous historical towns such as Gubbio, Assisi and Perugia aswell as being just 40 mins from Fano on the Adriatic coast. Whatever the time of year you visit, the emphasis is on a holiday spent in the open air. It's up to you how you spend your days; just chill out in a deck chair on the patio of your apartment taking in the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, explore the area on one of the mountain bikes available, or take full advantage of the resort facilities. The swimming pools, - the covered sulphur water pool open all year round, whereas the natural sauna in the cave followed by a naturally hot (40°) sulphur water jacuzzi ( an experience not to be missed!) or the jacuzzi in the large fresh water outdoor pool are all open during the summer. The health club is open all year round offering sauna, massage, solarium and beauty treatments. Access to the gym plus use of the indoor pool and sulphur water jacuzzi, the Kneipp course in the health club is included in the holiday cost.
This part of Marche region is famous for its wild mushrooms and truffles and evenings can be spent chatting to Lamberto Rossi and his wife Rossella while having dinner in the hotel restaurant or in the Taverna trying the local produce including the wines and olive oil.

By car: Take the A14 motorway direction north from Ancona or Pescara and south from Bologna or Rimini and exit at FANO. Take the dual carriageway Fano – Grosseto heading west. Exit at Acqualagna and follow the road towards Piobbico for about 10km. FRESCINA is on the right hand side on this road. Car hire is recommended to enjoy the surrounding area in full
