Hotel Cristina Sorrento

'Now back from our wonderdful holiday at Hotel Cristina.  The hotel itself was lovely and the views spectacular. The food was good and the gf bread rolls I had were the best bread I have tasted since having to eat gluten free over the last 5 years! Another great surprise was my timamisu for dessert one night, again the first I've eaten in 5 years! Overall, breakfast and dinner were great, there was a very good variety and choice and the food itself was a very high quality. Being able to relax about food on my holiday was great, even my daughter appreciated it!'  Wendy & Annmarie  August 2017
'Just wanted to say what a wonderful hotel this is.  Everything about it was excellend but if there was one area where they really excelled it was the professionalism and attitude of the staff.  As a coleiac, particular mention must be made of the restaurant staff with Elisabetta and Francesco truly outstanding.  Also excellent desserts.... so much better than what I get offered in UK!'  Martin and Bernadette  July 2017
' Thanks for all your help re our Sorrento trip.  Brilliant week's holiday to Hotel Cristina.  Spotless hotel, wonderful staff, beautiful location and amazing gluten free food for me!  We look forward to returning!'  Karen & Jason  July 2017

We had a very enoyable week'. Sonia, Nigel, Caleb, Joanna  August 2016

' We just returned from a wonderful holiday at Hotel Cristina. The weather was perfect, the hotel is superb - we had a lovely room at the end of a corridor and spent hours just enjoying the view of the Bay of Naples!  The gluten free food was excellent, such a treat not to have to check everything I eat!  The staff at the hotel were so helpful and really made us feel special.'   Gill and Chris May 2015
We had a super holiday, Hotel Cristina was excellent.  From the rooms we had wonderful views of Sorrento and mount Vesuvius, looked forward to the breakfst and the evening meal every night and the gluten free choice for myself was first class. We used the shuttle bus from the hotel into Sorrento town every day and Sorrento was a lovely place.    Gary, Caroline, Daniel and Rosy, July 2013
Hotel Cristina is in a quiet position between the coast and the hills and overlooking the town of Sant'Agnello on the outskirts of Sorrento. The views from the hotel are fantastic and facilities include a lounge/bar, panoramic restaurant, en suite bedrooms with balcony and sea view and an open air swimming pool all facing towards the Bay of Naples with Vesuvius in the background.  Hotel Cristina, family owned and under the same management as Hotel Centrale in Sorrento, offers a half board package with a good choice of menu and since one member of the family is coeliac you can rest assured that all guests needing a gf diet will be well catered for.  For those who prefer a holiday in quiet surroundings but still want some time to enjoy the noise and bustle of Sorrento, the hotel mini bus does a run the short distance to and from Sorrento town centre several times per day starting in the morning and ending late enough to allow you time to see Sorrento in the evening.
Sorrento is probably one of Italy's most visited towns and an all year destination. Enjoy a fantastic few days exploring Sorrento and the Amalfi coastline; lots of sunshine, stunning views of sparkling clear blue sea, steep cliffs, small romantic beaches, olive groves, lemon groves, painted houses that are built on the mountain sides that go right down to the sea and somehow they hang there and don’t fall off! The local bus service is very good and from Sorrento you can go most places in comfort and admire the views. To be recommended, apart from the ‘must do’ road past Positano to Amalfi itself and a boat trip to Capri, is the lesser known road along the Sorrento peninsular through Massa Lubrense to Nerano and down to Marina di Cantore. (local bus available). You will find yourselves in a tiny village right by the sea with fishing boats in the bay and about 4 restaurants along the pebble beach serving fresh grilled fish, colourful salads, lush fruit and of course plenty of chilled white wine! Sorrento itself is full of shops and boutiques selling leather goods, handbags, ceramics, worked coral, lace and embroidery as well as local produce such as limoncello, the traditional Sorrento sweet lemon flavoured grappa, mozzarella cheese and extra virgin olive oil. There are several restaurants in Sorrento serving gluten free food so on days you are out of the hotel lunchtimes need never be a problem.
